She said, 'Yes, the serial did not do anything special on TV but it did well on OTT. Both the mediums have different audiences. That's why we are happy that now it will come on OTT and it will get a new audience. People will get to see the new concept of Balika Vadhu. The storyline is very interesting and connecting.
What will be different
Shivangi Joshi further said that the storyline of 'Balika Vadhu' on OTT will be completely different from television. When Shivangi Joshi was asked if she does not think that the audience can get disconnected due to the arrival of the next season of the serial after a long gap. In response to this question, Shivangi Joshi said that the audience still loves Anandi very much. She said- 'I don't think so because that character has got a lot of love and that love is still there. People will not get disconnected even if Naira (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) is brought back after a break of 10 years. If you do not show it for some time, then that scene will happen, but when you see those characters again, they start giving love.
The producer also said…
Earlier, the producer of this show, Sanjay Wadhwa, in a conversation with Times of India, had dismissed the rumors that the show did not run due to new actors. He had said, 'Things change very fast due to leaps and storylines in the serial. We indeed brought in Shivangi as the main lead but the script of the show or the performance of the actors is not responsible for the show going off-air. Sometimes there is no reason for the show to fail. We can't keep crying over her.
